Redheart: Book One of the Leland Dragon Series by Jackie Gamber is available in the Meadowhawk Press store. Look for it also at Amazon, B N.com, and a retailer near you. What&amp;#39;s the gist of this epic tale? Read on...

Kallon Redheart lives with his back turned on his fellow dragons, on
humans, and on everything he once understood. Riza Diantus is a young
woman with dreams too wide to fit inside her village fence. Their
unexpected friendship is risky in Leland Province, where drought has
stripped the land and superstition has cowed its people.

And the danger only grows. Fordon Blackclaw, Dragon Council
Leader, resents Leland&amp;#39;s time-worn venur system, and has inflamed
tensions between dragons and humans to the brink of war. When anger
erupts, scorching innocent lives in its path, Riza is threatened.
Kallon is the only one with the power to save her, but first he must
confront his past and the future he stopped believing in. He must claim
his destiny.

Years in the future, the U.S. is a splintered country. The city-state of Philadelphia is ripe for revolution. Mark McGovern, the son of a rich politician, lives in a world of expensive parties and frivolous biological mods, a sharp contrast to the poor underworld of his best friend, Darin Kinsley. <description>
A father discovers the impossible cause of his daughter&amp;#39;s fears. A breast cancer victim gambles desperately on a cure. A homeless waif walks distorted city streets overrun by monsters... or does she?

This collection of stories by authors from around the globe brings people, just like you and me, into the path of the extraordinary. Whether in the world as we know it, or in a futuristic or fantastical world all its own, each tale reminds us there may never be an end to the unexplained.

Nor should there be.

Touched By Wonder: A Symphony of Fantastic Tales launches this month as a benefit anthology for Breast Cancer Research. It is no accident TBW is being released in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pick up your copy of Touched By Wonder at Meadowhawk Press (component/page,shop.product_details/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,18/category_id,1/manufacturer_id,0/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,1/) today!

Here&amp;#39;s what other people are saying:

An extraordinary collection of stories that evoke a true sense of wonder. Though the effects are subtle, there is power here and a strong sense of the numinous, the very heart of magic. Jackie Gamber has brought together an impressive array of talent.

~Madeline Howard, Author of The Hidden Stars
